Low Profile Downspout Catch Basin
A Smarter Way to Manage Rainwater
Guide rainwater away from your home's downspout with a low-profile catch basin and flexible drainage hose. A practical solution for keeping outdoor drainage areas more organized and helping direct runoff toward a suitable discharge point.
Help Direct Rainwater Away from Your Home
Rainwater flowing from roof downspouts can collect around lawns, planting beds, and the foundation area. A properly installed catch basin and drainage hose help guide runoff toward a more suitable drainage location.
Plan the outlet direction according to your yard's slope and drainage conditions to help reduce unwanted water accumulation near the house.
A Low-Profile Fit for Outdoor Spaces
The compact 10 x 10 inch catch basin is designed for residential drainage applications around lawns and landscaped areas. Its low-profile form helps keep the installation visually unobtrusive when properly positioned.
Before installation, check the available ground depth, surrounding surfaces, and drainage outlet position to ensure the basin fits your intended location.
Flexible Hose for Convenient Water Routing
The corrugated PVC drainage hose extends up to approximately 6.5 ft (2 m), providing flexibility when planning the route from your downspout area toward a suitable discharge point.
Its flexible construction helps accommodate different outdoor layouts. Position the hose carefully, maintain a suitable drainage gradient, and avoid sharp bends or crushed sections that may restrict water flow.
Grate Design Helps Reduce Debris Entry
The top grate helps limit the entry of larger leaves and other debris into the drainage path. This can support routine water management around the home when the system is installed and maintained correctly.
Inspect the grate regularly and remove accumulated leaves, dirt, and other obstructions to help maintain an effective drainage path.
A Practical Addition to Your Drainage Setup
Designed for compatible residential downspout installations, this drainage set can be used around garden borders, landscaped edges, and other suitable outdoor areas.
Measure the installation space and confirm the outlet connection before purchasing. Choose a discharge location that directs water away from the building without creating new pooling or drainage problems.

Installation Guide
Prepare the installation area and confirm the drainage route before assembling the components.
Step 1: Plan the Location
Measure the available space and identify a suitable discharge point. Check the ground slope and confirm that runoff can move away from the building.
Step 2: Prepare the Ground
Prepare a stable, level base at the appropriate depth for the basin. Make sure the outlet aligns with the planned hose route.
Step 3: Connect the Hose
Connect the drainage hose to the designated basin outlet according to the supplied fitting instructions. Check the connection and avoid bends that could obstruct flow.
Step 4: Test and Inspect
Test the drainage path with water before completing the surrounding landscaping. Check for leaks, standing water, and loose connections.
Installation reminder: Confirm local drainage requirements before directing water onto neighbouring properties, public paths, or sewer systems. The basin should not be assumed to be suitable for vehicle traffic unless the manufacturer explicitly confirms an appropriate load rating.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is a downspout catch basin used for?
It collects runoff at a compatible downspout connection and helps direct water through a drainage outlet toward a planned discharge area.
2. How long is the drainage hose?
The advertised flexible hose extends up to approximately 6.5 ft (2 m). Check the actual routing distance required before installation.
3. Does the grate prevent all debris from entering?
No. The grate is designed to help reduce larger debris entry, but smaller particles may still pass through. Regular inspection and cleaning remain necessary.
4. Can I install it in any garden?
Suitability depends on the available space, ground conditions, downspout connection, and drainage route. Measure the installation area and check local drainage requirements first.
5. How do I maintain the drainage system?
Periodically remove leaves and debris from the grate, inspect the hose and connections, and check that water can flow freely to the intended outlet.
6. Is the basin suitable for driveways?
Do not install it in vehicle traffic areas unless the manufacturer confirms that the specific product and installation meet the required load rating.
